Southern Wisconsin Land Conservancy (SWLC)
Founded in 2018, the Southern Wisconsin Land Conservancy creates permanent solutions to environmental issues across South-central Wisconsin through conservation initiatives, collaboration with partner organizations, environmental advocacy, fundraising, and education.
The DENC is appreciative of the ongoing partnership we established in 2024 to place a conservation easement on the land that has become the Conservancy’s home ground for its educational, preservation, and other work.

Lower Sugar River Watershed Association (LSRWA)
The Lower Sugar River Watershed Association, by sharing knowledge and experiences, empowers citizens residing within the Southernmost section of the Sugar River watershed to become conservationists in their local communities.

Upper Sugar River Watershed Association (USRWA)
As a sister organization to the LSRWA, the Upper Sugar River Watershed Association aspires to protect and restore the land and natural resources within the Northernmost section of the Sugar River watershed through environmental advocacy, building partnerships, and increasing scientific literacy within the local community.

The Prairie Enthusiasts (Prairie Bluff Chapter)
The Prairie Bluff Chapter of the Prairie Enthusiasts has been managing and restoring the ecosystems of Lafayette, Green, and Rock Counties since 1993. With chapters spanning across Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota, the Prairie Enthusiasts aim to preserve and protect Upper Midwestern natural areas through environmental remediation and education.
